There are very few people who can change the energy of a room. Jesse Itzler is one of them.
A charismatic entrepreneur, Jesse lives his life completely out of the box. In fact he doesn’t even have a box. He is a widely accomplished businessman with an incredibly unorthodox resume. He is an extreme endurance athlete who completed a 100 mile non-stop run for charity and a NY Times best-selling author. Jesse blends his nontraditional approach and his “nothing-is-impossible attitude” into everything he does.
His life is about being bold and risky, and it has brought him great success. He cofounded Marquis Jet, the world’s largest prepaid private jet card company in 2001, which he and his partner sold to Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway/NetJets. He then partnered with Zico coconut water, which he and his partners sold to The Coca-Cola Company in 2013. He is a former rapper on MTV and he produced and sang both the NBA’s Emmy Award-winning “I Love This Game” music campaign. And now…he is part-owner of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.
A few years ago, when Jesse felt himself drifting on “auto-pilot,” he hired a Navy SEAL – considered by many to be “the toughest man on the planet” – to live with him and his family for a month. His book Living with a SEAL tells the story of a fitness routine like no other – and the unlikely friendship it produced.
Jesse is all about building a life full of experiences, creating memories, and most importantly, tenaciously tapping into an attitude of pure determination that we can all access… but rarely do.
